The Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers is a Gold Level affiliated chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).

Our mission is to optimize our local healthcare physical environment by providing a platform for crucial conversations; conversations that compel us to hold ourselves accountable and that provide an impetus for action.

A Note From Our President

Dear Colleagues and Healthcare Partners,

It is with great pleasure that I extend to each of you an invitation to the 2013 VSHE Annual Conference in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, May 20-23, 2013. This year’s conference will be a great opportunity to network with your peers, fulfill continuing educational requirements and enhance your professional credentials.

The operation of healthcare facilities continues to present incredible challenges for all of us in our respective roles.  Every day is an adventure requiring creative problem solving, technical competence and organizational adaptability. Once again, the VSHE conference has been structured to provide relevant and immediately useful resources to help you address these challenges head-on.

This year’s conference agenda will include multiple educational tracks, additional ASHE certification review programs and a dynamic trade show. We are extremely proud to announce that our keynote speakers include George Mills, Director of Engineering at The Joint Commission as well as Robert Gance, ASHE - Chair of the Sustainability Committee. The caliber of our speakers and educational curriculum continues to draw participation from a regional audience and reflects our chapter’s growing respect and sphere of influence in the healthcare community.

ALSO…the Annual Golf Invitational returns; enjoy some fun, friendly competition and networking on a world-class course. Our motto: Something for everyone.
