Location: UVA Claude Moore Nursing Education Building, Room G010, 225 Jeannette Lancaster Way - Charlottesville, VA  Description: Planning, Design and Construction  - Using a current project as an example, the Facilities staff at UVAHS will discuss the pre-construction planning steps they took to include patient risk assessment, lift assessment and infection control. The Construction Manager will discuss the actions they took to implement the steps require by UVAHS to make the project a safe project. Finally the UVAHS will  discuss post construction actions and move management.
Note: CEU's will be awarded for attendance

Description: A panel composed of an architect/engineer, construction manager and a healthcare facility manager will discuss the importance of following healthcare education and certification programs. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, CHFM, Certified Healthcare Constructor, CHC and the Healthcare Construction Certificate , HCC.
