Following the I-81 corridor in Western Virginia along the Blue Ridge and Alleghany Mountains, VSHE's Blue Ridge District consists of regional healthcare systems, both for and not for profit, as well as multiple rural critical access hospitals. Our vendor partners are deeply seeded with roots of experience across many healthcare specialties and work daily to support our healthcare facilities leadership teams through continuing education, building on the job relationships and endurable partnerships. In turn, our healthcare facilities leadership teams work to advance our contractors’ and vendors’ knowledge bases through advocacy and collaboration while continuing to strengthen their role in providing a safe environment for the delivery of care. With all of this said, our challenges in this district are noticeable. Due to our vast footprint, it is difficult for us to hold many in-person meetings and therefore we fall to the use of interactive tools to bring valuable content to our members. As we continue to grow and strengthen the Blue Ridge District, we welcome all who wish to follow the VSHE mission to improve healthcare facilities infrastructure, operations and maintenance through planning, education, cooperation, advocacy and design innovation.
