VSHE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The VSHE Scholarship Program is designed for all healthcare and healthcare facility staff. Each scholarship is worth the cost of one registration to the VSHE Annual Conference and reimbursement for hotel and travel expenses, and is awarded annually.   

Award

VSHE offers valuable education, CEUs, and the chance to connect with healthcare engineering professionals from across Virginia at the annual conference. The VSHE Scholarship Program is intended for those who exhibit a passion for the healthcare industry and the mission of VSHE. The VSHE Board will award up to ten (10) scholarships to candidates who prove need, drive, and a passion for the healthcare community. Scholarship awards will be presented in the form of reimbursement (up to $550.00 USD) for hotel accommodations at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center and travel expenses.  

Eligibility Requirements

• Member of the healthcare community or healthcare facility staff
• Demonstrated financial need
• Demonstrated passion for VSHE and/or healthcare industry
• VSHE Conference which includes: speaker presentations, breakfast, lunches, break snacks, welcome reception, and awards reception

When to Apply

The application for the 2026 Annual Conference is now open. Applications will be accepted until 5pm on April 3, 2026. All applicants will be notified about the status of their applications by April 17, 2026.

The Fine Print

• Scholarship Recipients must attend the full conference (Wednesday, May 6 – Thursday, May 7, 2026), for award reimbursement. Failure to attend the conference will result in deference of the award.
• Applicants are not required to attend the Golf Tournament (Tuesday, May 5, 2026). 
  
• Previous attendance to the VSHE Annual Conference is not a requirement, nor a deterrent.
• Membership in the VSHE organization is not a requirement nor a deterrent.
• All interested applicants will be responsible for securing their own hotel, and travel accommodations. A reimbursement form will be provided.
