Darren is a Fire Door Specialist with Carilion Clinic. He is responsible for managing all fire door inspections and maintenance across the health system. Darren is a Qualified Fire Door Inspector certified through DOIT and a Door Safety Inspector (DSI) through Door Safety Safe Doors Saves Lives Foundation which meets and exceeds NFPA’s Qualified Person standard (for NFPA 80 and NFPA 105) and NFPA 101’s Knowledgeable Person standard to perform safety inspections and testing of egress and fire door assemblies.
